“Word-A-Day” crap like this is how A-holes improve their vocabulary without ever attempting to read a book that might actually teach them something worth while, in addition to helping them garner extra points in Scrabble (or whatever it is that A-holes do on the weekends with their A-hole families. No offense to any A-holes out there, but really these are words elementary school kids were taught in the 40’s.
