Who wrote this crap, some game theory major in the middle of a break-up with his high school sweet heart? This is so dumb. Yeah buddy the end times ARE coming but you don’t need a calculator and a pale complexion to see it.
The next logical step will be the shift to organic computers. I don’t mean growing them to save money. I mean saving ourselves the time trying to figure out how to BUILD one out of IC components and filaments of wire when even the simplest reptile has a more sophisticated processer than anything we are within 28 or 22 years of building. No, the next step will be the use of already existing brains and exploiting the already existing networks therein. It’s always easier to reverse engineer something right? Genetically engineering them won’t do any good because we don’t know enough about genetic engineering OR the mechanics of the mind to accomplish anything in that vein… yet. We will see a future populated with machines that are run by computers that have been harvested from animals… maybe even humans, eventually. And don’t disbelieve because it is a terrible concept, disbelieve it because it wouldn’t work or wouldn’t stimulate an industy. I challenge you!
