Rob Riggle. Many of you know him as a senior corespondent from Comedy Central’s the Daily Show. I was reading his bio the other day and read that he was a Major in the Marine Corps. That’s pretty high up there. And he’s still in his 30s, so it isn’t like he reached tenure or anything. Most of the O-4s I’ve encountered were complete lifer assholes. For this guy to leave the USMC and go on to do other things amazes me. What an inspiration to service members who feel afraid to quit the incredably unfulfilling, thankless, dehumanizing, relentlessly soul destroying job that is military service. Rob Riggle, I salute you… and not just because I have to.
