Linda Vista Hospital

Some amazing pictures taken from an abandoned hospital interior. Urban exploration, how cool is that? When I was a kid I always wanted to come across some forgotten building and set up my secret hide-out. The closest I found was an old root cellar but the ciling was only 5ft tall and there was no way to get light down there with the “hatch” closed, so it kind of sucked. Good for hiding stolen road signs though.

That was a hell of a lot of money to pay, just to play Oregon Trail without loading the floppy disk. I mean, whats 15MEG? Three or four MP3s? It’s little wonder why the computer nerd is such an enduring image. Can you imagine the guy who would shell out that kind of dough to screw around with a basic machine? Thats a guy who wrote programs all night and could speak in binary. Also, this is when Star Wars first came out, so that explains the Star Wars thing…

A showdown in the “restaurant at the end of the universe”? | Uncommon Descent

http://www.uncommondescent.com/intelligent-design/a-showdown-in-the-restaurant-at-the-end-of-the-universe/

Here is a disturbing “intelligent” design blog. Just like they need no proof to believe in their medieval “creation science”, they need no proof to claim to have refuted actual PROVEN principles of biology, offering no kind of REAL explanation of HOW it has been refuted. In fact the greatest explanations contained here betray a complete lack of scientific understanding. These people cannot grasp the mechanics of evolutionary science, how COULD they be expected to let go of a 2000 year old collection of fairy stories that has explained everything so clearly: “Don’t think about it, it was magic”
I find it very sad that the cancer of creationism is so attractive to the intellectually dull. Not just Christianity, but ANY institution that teaches it’s followers to disregard facts, to not form one’s own conclusions, and to avoid exposure to new ideas. It’s evil. I don’t need a god to tell me that the practice of choosing to be stupid is evil. The most terrible atrocities in history have been committed by gloriously stupid people, or at least very INTELLIGENT people believing gloriously stupid things.

Hot dogs. Injected with aerosol cheese. Smothered in bacon. Fried and THEN deep fried. Did you see that? FRIED TWICE! The only thing that I can see that they forgot was pouring gravy on the finished product and serving it sandwiched between two donuts.
I bet Elvis ate these babies all the time. If not, then he’s certainly getting these in heaven. Luther Vandross is eating his with a side of Krispy Kreems.
