This is the most terrifying news I’ve ever heard. You’d figure the big news would be, “Hey look, we found the enzyme that allows you to remember stuff; soon we’ll be able to give people photographic memories and we’ll all be able to learn vast quantities of information in little time” BUT NO! Its “Hey look, we found the enzyme that allows you to remember stuff; soon we’ll be able to predictably disable it and erase your memories…. and thats a good thing” (I’m paraphrasing of coarse but Jesus Fuck this is some menacing science) the most disturbing thing is, this applies to any synapse. We’re not talking about merely fucking with someone’s memories, but with their skills, their personalities, their very patterns of thinking. This is like some 60’s pulp plot-line, but the scientists would have been former Nazis living in Argentina… And they’d probably have fencing smites, or metal hands or something.

Absolutely no mention of any of the Mad Max movies! Just a bunch of the same old establishment favorites. Oh yeah, where the hell is John Wayne’s “The Quiet Man”? Thats the best movie ever made! Also there isn’t anything on this list younger than 25 years. Look I know that just because it’s old doesn’t mean its bad, but just because it’s old doesn’t mean it’s still good either. Only dramas no comedies? What? A movie can only be good if its boring? Fuck this snob list.

This is a meticulous work of love, honoring what Hollywood would gladly forget. Dusty stills from obscure movies and rare photos of has-beens and never-wases. Definitely worth the culture shock. This is like a direct pipeline into the high-fidelity, lux-interior, ultra-smooth, realm of high camp. Enjoy!
